We’re going to do the short run into Sanlucar de Barrameda by the main road. It should just be around 30 kilometres or so. We’ve got another hot start to the day, but today there is a fierce wind blowing. At least we have the benefit of it cooling us down a bit, even if it does slow us down when it is in our faces.
We arrive at the seaside in good time and easily find our hotel – I pre-booked last night to avoid trooping around fully booked ones for hours on end. Now I’m glad I did because there are huge crowds in town for the fería that starts in a couple of days. The only thing left to do today is to book the boat trip for tomorrow. Except there are no trips going out tomorrow – not sure why, something to do with the Romeria, except that finished a few days ago. We can go on Monday, so we book that. It leaves us with a whole day tomorrow with nothing to do; plenty of time to catch up on blogging, washing kit, watching the Giro d’Italia and generally lazing about.
