Day 9 – Evora -rest day

April 24, 2013

On the camp-site this morning we met Yoko and Hiro, two Japanese cycle tourists who have been travelling on their bikes around the world for four and a half years.  They have been across Central and South America, Africa, the Middle East, India and Europe and are now in their last month of cycle touring before going home.  They plan to end their tour in Santiago de Compostela, so we might see them again on the road.  Talking to them reawakened thoughts of doing something similar, although Yoko said she thought that tours of between 4 and 6 months were the ideal length.

So for now it is back to the reality of shopping, clothes washing, bike cleaning and rest and recuperation.
