So a few days off to:

– catch up on the latest news from the family

– wait for the rain and wind to go away

– give the bikes a bit of a clean-up and mini service

– wash all the kit in a washing machine (rather than a hotel wash basin)

– eat too much food, in particular, too much cake

– meet up with friends for a beer and a curry, some of whom I’ve not seen since I left work 7 years ago, so plenty more news to catch up on

In no time at all it is time to get back on the road. We have a booking for the ferry for Sunday night, so we want to give ourselves plenty of time to get there, although we don’t want to be hanging around waiting for the ferry for quite as long as we were in Santander. If we take it steady we’ll arrive on Saturday with just a day in hand for any unforeseen problems.
