Today we’re back to the gloom again; it’s raining cats and dogs this morning. Seems we were very lucky with the sunny weather for our final full run yesterday. Fortunately, last night we found ourselves a great place to stay in a grand old building, very tastefully renovated with high ceilings, cornices and floor to ceiling shuttered doors onto balconies overlooking the square.

We go out for a quick walk in the rain to blow the cobwebs away, but then spend most of the day indoors. After a couple of hours we are suffering from cabin fever and go for another walk around the town – we’re keen to be back on the bikes.

So….decision time; the weather forecast for tomorrow is dry but with a wind blowing from west to east of around 50 km/hour, so straight in our face.  The forecast for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday is heavy rain.  Do we battle against the wind or get soaked through?
