The rain clouds have cleared overnight and, although swollen and starting to turn purple, the pain in my hand and wrist is not too bad at all.

We decide to move on – just for a few kilometres to see how it goes.  Amazingly, neither the hand nor the knees give me too much trouble as we make our way along some really quiet back-roads and up and down some steep climbs.

Dark clouds threaten again in the afternoon, but there is no rain.  We find a camp-site early in the afternoon and spend some time relaxing and recovering, more hopeful now that we will be able to continue the tour.
